Jodee Molina is a painter and photographer living in Midland, Texas. In her work she aims to have clarity of color, simplicity of form and authenticity in message. She prefers that her images have a lightness to them and that they take up space.
Themes she touches upon include: the feminine, the adventure in life's simple pleasures and the perfectly imperfect. She enjoys combining mediums and uses gouache, charcoal, pastel, collage and photography in addition to her acrylic work.
Jodee’s visual aesthetic is informed by her travels, her love of Latin culture and music, the books and magazines she has read and the light in the Llano Estacado High Plains where she resides with her husband Rodolfo and her daughter Georgia. Memories made with her family and friends also deeply inspire her work.
Jodee has a BA in French Language and Literature and loves being an artist.
